Justin "JWu"  Wu is a significant presence on the Squirt A National team with Coach Greg Schehr.  Justin works tirelessly on and off the ice and is always striving to improve in all areas. Hamza

Hamza Tajkhanji #21

Coach: Noah Antonoff

As one of the leading goal scorers on the team, Hamza has been a driving force on the team to its early success.  Although the coaching staff is proud of his offensive skill, it's his development on the defensive end that has impressed the team the most.

Peter

Christian Mercado

Coach: Noah Antonoff

In his first season as a travel goalie, Christian has developed into an outstanding goalie between the pipes.  This was on full display at the Philadelphia Fall Classic where he backboned the team to a 2-2 tie in the championship game.

christian

Peter Martin #97

PWB Ducks

Coach: Noah Antonoff

Defensemen don't often get the recognition on the scoresheet, but Peter's steady defensive play and his ability to rush the puck is one of the many reasons for the team's early success.  His calm, cool demeanor has led Peter to become one of the leaders on the team-even if he is one of the quietest kids on the ice.

logan

Logan Hastings #29

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

Logan is one of the Mites B’s leading scorers and an all around great teammate. He sets the example for his peers by using every minute on the ice to keep getting better. Whether he’s firing a shot on net or setting up for an assist he’s sporting an infectious smile the entire time.

Coach: Derek Lamonde

Dmitrii is referred to as "The Wall" on the Mites B team for his exceptional defense and consistent primary and secondary efforts in repelling offensive attacks. When playing as a forward, he is aggressive toward the net, digging out loose pucks and setting up plays. His work ethic and passion for the game will take him far in hockey and any other pursuits he chooses in his future.

Joey

Joseph Leyden #27

Mite Beginner Ducks

Coach: Joe Mazzella

Joseph is becoming an outstanding player. Only 5 years old, Joey is going after the puck without a fear against players bigger and better and is helping his team score goals to win games while passing to his teammates to allow them to score. He surely is on a great path and is well deserving of Player of the Month!

Jacob

Jacob Psinakis #35

Mite Beginner Ducks

Coach: Joe Mazzella

Jacob is very new to the Ducks family. After some time and consideration, Jacob has cracked the roster as a great goaltender. Standing on his head one game, getting a shutout the next, and keeping his head high when games don't end in the team's favor, he continues to show us why he deserves to be Player of the Month!

larsen

Drew Larsen #88

PWA Ducks

Coach: Tyler Mishchenko

Easton currently has 35 points through 18 games played. Easton has shown the most improvement on the team since the start of the season. vinny

Vincent Iacobelli #61

PWA Ducks

Coach: Tyler Mishchenko

Vincent shows extreme hustle and determination in all areas of the game. Through 18 games he has achieved 26 points. He leads the team by example by always being first on the forecheck while also hustling back to help out in the defensive zone. His positive attitude and work ethic spreads throughout the team.

If you ask anyone at Protec they will tell you that Noah lives at the rink. He is a hard working player who loves the game of hockey. wik

Mason Wicinski #2

SQB Ducks

Coach: Noah Antonoff

Mason has developed into a 2 way defensemen on the Squirt B team.  He has always had natural skill in the offensive side of the game, but it is his development on the defensive side of the ice that has impressed the most. In the month of November, Mason has 1 goal and 2 assists, while often playing against the other teams top players.

abhi

Abhi Gupta #25

SQB Ducks

Coach: Noah Antonoff

Often a team's most valuable player is the player who can play any position.  That is what Abhi has been for the Squirt B team.  Abhi has logged significant minutes while playing defense, winger and center.  He is our "Jack of All Trades".   He has developed into such a smart hockey player, which allows the coaches to play Abhi at any position and to be confident that he will do well.

James led his defensive core in points to a undefeated tournament victory during the Thanksgiving Day break. "I have worked with James since his days of hockey academy and it is no surprise that he has accomplished so much. His drive has always been there." Coach Don

vlorenzo

Vincent Lorenzo #25

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Affectionately known as Vinny the Bull, Vinny’s heart is as big as his size. His game continues to develop every shift and every play. Vinny ended November by leading his team to victory with assists and goals during the Thanksgiving Day tournament. He was first in assists and second in goals, a true example of how hard he works for his team. "I love how curious Vinny is. He is consistently asking questions and looking for ways to be better. His game has improved so much in just a few months and I can't wait to see what he will do every time he hits the ice." Coach Don

jones

Tyler Jones #6

Bantam AA Ducks

Coach Patrick Alvin

Tyler had a bit of a slow start in his first season with a Protec Ducks, Tyler Jones turned it on over the last month and became a clutch, outstanding goal score.  In the CCM tournament in Chicago he Buried many important goals in the teams semifinals finish.

friedman

James Friedman #79

Bantam AA Ducks

Coach: Patrick Alvin

James faced the toughest task a goalie could ask for in the quarterfinals of the CCM tournament in Chicago.  A 5 skater shoot out where he was able to stop three of the four shots that were attempted against him. That performance brought the ducks into the semi finals against the eventual champion Tampa bulls.  He has really picked up his game over the last month.

Jason Y

Jason Yafimau # 13

SQA Ducks

Coach: Greg Schehr

Coach Greg says Jason is a true asset to the team who is always ready to give 150% every time he steps on the ice.  Jason's speed is impressive and he provides constant pressure against any and all opponents.  When Jason is on the ice, he is our most aggressive skater, according to Coach Greg, covering both offensive and defensive zones.  Watch him in action and you will see those legs never stop moving!

AJ W

AJ Welton #42

SQA Ducks

Coach: Greg Schehr

AJ is a constant presence on the defensive team, and takes pride in developing and evolving in all areas of the game.  He feels a responsibility to protect his goalie, and you will often see him supporting and encouraging his net minder in between stoppages.  AJ is originally from Canada and loves all things hockey, especially the Canadiens.

Bantam ducks pom

Michael Szarak #30 (black helmet)

Rich Whaley #34 (white helmet)

Bantam Ducks

Coach: Woody Corson

Both these goalies have come a long way, especially being new to the net and travel this season. When they aren’t at practice or a game, Mike and Richie work tirelessly on improving their skills through privates and clinics, getting on the ice whenever they can, and their efforts have been paying off. Their extreme dedication to the sport, positive attitude, and camaraderie are a strong backbone to the team.

December Stars 2021

devb

Davonte Browne #86

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Strength, Power and Determination is everything that defines Davonte's game. His Ducks team is having an outstanding year and it's all due in part to his defensive and offensive output. He is feared by every forward on the ice. "The is no such thing as an opponents breakaway opportunity when Davonte is on the ice. He will track you down and take the puck away before you realize what happened. He is a force that I'm very grateful to have" Coach Don

louis

Louis Liu #9

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Louis is a smart level-headed defensemen. He provides blue line strength and support for all of his teammates. His Ducks team is holding a strong 9-0 record at the close of the calendar year and its all due to the support and hard work he brings every game. "This is my third year working with Louis and I've never taken for granted the game he provides. There is no doubt he will go far in whatever he does in life" Coach Don

samuel

Samuel Podzuban #77

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Samuel is a well-rounded Mite having played all positions for his team this season. He continues to work hard to improve his talents any way he can. His game is expanding from being a lead goal scorer to being a vital all-around player. "This December, he had his best month so far and I look forward to watching him grow every game." Coach Don

l2

Luke Migliorisi #7

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Luke has been the backbone in net for his team all season. Gaining love and support from his teammates and friends, he never quits and always provides the best he can offer. In the past several weeks, his game has grown to new levels; playing faster and stronger to keep up with the advancement of the A division. "Luke's love for the game and his teammates shows with his smile. It's no surprise his biggest fans are everyone he plays with." Coach Don

Ryder

Ryder Chesson #76

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

"Knight Ryder Chesson", one of the coolest under pressure people that I know.

A Coaches dream and a parents nightmare...it's literally impossible to get mad at him because he's always got a dimply, devilish grin on his face.

Knight Ryder has no low gear and is ALWAYS evolving his game with moves that I've had to do super-slow playback on the go pro to figure out what or how he did what he does.

Fortunately, as he's coming off of each shift he diligently points out the amazing things he just did. So needless to say, I'm learning A LOT about deking, sniping and what kids discuss on the ice as the season progresses.

alexcc

Alex Kulbida #28

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

Alex "Ovechkin" Kulbida (A.O.K.) is one of the hardest working and focused players we have on the Ducks Mites B team.

Coach refers to him as "A.O.K." or "little Ove" for the numerous times he's gone bar-down and/or top shelf throughout the season.

A.O.K. always has a sheepish little grin on his face and anyone that takes the time to watch can see that he patiently and persistently strives for perfection on every drill and during every game.

Someone should warn the big Ovechkin that A.O.K is coming for his job....

joe s

Joe Szarek #18

Bantam Ducks

Coach: Woody Corson

Joe is the relentless player that every coach needs, if I say run through that brick wall he looks at me like I'm crazy, but does it, comes back and tells me “now I understand why". Joe has come an incredible way as this is his first year playing travel hockey. His hard work and tenacity had him go quickly from not really knowing what to do to being the 2nd center on the team.

Joe is an incredible teammate on and off the ice. On the ice, Joe is almost always the player that shows the rest of the team how hustle works to your advantage and has been the catalyst to momentum swings in many games with his hard work or a big hit when needed.

In the locker room, Joe is clearly one of the team leaders and does it without a C or A on his jersey, always making sure new players are welcomed and that everyone does what they are supposed to be doing to focus on the game at hand.

January Stars 2022

jimmy

Jimmy Cooke #11

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Jimmy has been a leader all season. His skills continue to grow game by game. A powerful shot and a great eye for the game help him find the best ways to out-play any opponent. "Captain Cooke is a future leader at whatever he does in life. When he works hard the rest of the team follows' Coach Don

august

Agasthya Mabbu #36

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

August adds strength and smarts to the defensive side of the game. He has continued to work hard and build his game all season. Recently he has been given more encouragement to step up and use his skills more on the offensive side and it has paid off. Scoring from the point and making great break-out passes.

Zac

Zac Schehr #27

SQA Ducks

Coach: Greg Schehr

To be the coach's son there are high expectations ,but he seems to enjoy it and wouldn't have it any other way. He has definitely stepped up his game since the beginning of the season, and has gained more confidence skating with the puck. He is one of top scorers on the team, and always impresses with how effortlessly he skates with such speed.  Zac spends his time off the ice rooting for the Rangers, playing knee hockey, NHL 22 with his teammates and manages to squeeze in some basketball games in between.  He is an active kid with a lot of energy and keeps his Coach/Dad on his toes.

saxon

Saxon Conches #38

SQA Ducks

Coach: Greg Schehr

Goaltenders are the last line of defense, and on the Squirt A team that’s Saxon Conches. Saxon has had a very impressive month of January, keeping the team in the game time after time. He always arrives at the rink with a smile on his face, ready to play. The team will miss him as he moves up to peewee in March, as he has been an asset all season. Saxon can regularly be found cheering on his favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens.

danny2022

Daniel Lernerman #39

PW A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Danny is the heart of the PWA team. His love for his teammates and friends show with every save he makes. His biggest improvement this season has been his glove hand. Time after time he has iced the play with a fantastic glove save to kill the drive of any opponent. Danny was huge in Bethlehem during the MLK Steel City tournament. Facing 35 shots in the championship game and saving 33 of them to help the team win their second tournament championship this season.

LJ

Jacob Shlomovich #97

PW A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Jacob (aka LJ) has spent his season over-coming some fears. It's never easy being one of the smaller players on the ice but he continued to work with his coach and try his best to over come those challenges. In January all of that hard work started to pay off when he scored the first goals in the semi-finals game and the championship game. Both of those goals came from going hard to the net and fighting for the rebound goal and not backing down until he lead the way for his team to victory. "LJ, you are more powerful then you can possibly imagine. Don't stop" Coach Don

jlo

Joseph Lorenzo #27

PW A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Joseph (aka JLO) never backs down to a challenge. He is a first year PW playing with a mostly second year group and he never lets that change his game. All season he has provided scoring and hard forecheck pressure that has proven to be the deciding factor in some battles. A great personality makes him a great teammate and friend in the locker room and on the bench. Between LJ and JLO they have been lovingly named the Wonder Twins because they always leave you shaking your head in wonder and amazement.

johnny d 2

John DeRosa #77

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

John "The Scientist" DeRosa is our top veteran player and has taken great strides this season with his technical skills and ability to disrupt the other teams efforts.

He's a solid backchecker and never shy about joining a puck battle in the corner or using his body to protect the puck.

The Scientist is always looking for a set up and has a very analytical approach to the game that he continues to evolve.

He's also quick with fun facts and figures, so if you see The Scientist hanging around the rink don't hesitate to ask how long it takes to blink or the square root of 77.

jackson

Jackson Dubreuil #88

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

"Action Jackson" Dubreuil, sometimes known as "Mr. Mohawk", plays every game with a chip on his shoulder.

He's never backed down from any player or contact and his shot has knocked goalies over. Coming in at 6 foot, 12 inches and 220 pounds, Action Jackson is the largest Mite in the history of the world.

Although Mr. Mohawk is convinced the scoreboard is a spaceship filled with aliens, he goes into a focused BEAST MODE when he steps out for his shift.

Action Jackson is rapidly developing into a dynamically skilled player and has a bright future to look forward to on and off the ice.

bantam d

The Defensive Group

Bantam B Ducks

Coach: Woody Corson

This month the Bantams would like to name the entire defensive crew as players of the month. We started the season very shaky, plugging different players into the D trying to find the right fit. We had Sean Aronson #77, team captain Vincent Zammit #38, and Ernest Kaminski #27 from the start, but things finally fell into place when we moved Alex Naumov #9 into the final D spot. The pairings fell into place and with the improvement of the goalies, we went from game finals of 10-1 to playing very competitive in almost every game since they gelled. These boys' steady play, willingness to learn, and hard work, have been a huge asset to the entire team. Special thanks to D coach Rob Cacchiola for working tirelessly with the 4 D men making them the backbone of the team.

Febuary Stars 2022

k

Kellan Lamonde

Mite B Ducks

Coach: Derek Lamonde

Kellan "The Enforcer" Lamonde is one of the youngest and smallest players on the Mites B team, but with the biggest heart in both courage on the ice and kindness off. As a toddler he was affectionately nicknamed "Booms" and since he's started playing hockey he goes by "The Enforcer" or "Honey Badger".

"The Enforcer" is a contact driven player who will routinely run full speed and head on with ANYONE in his path...opposing players, his own teammates, refs, coaches. zamboni's...he may have knocked an older lady with a walker down once during open skate, but in fairness it was icy so it might have just been an unfortunate coincidence. Although he was overheard saying, "that's how you finish a check lady", so the jury's still out on that one as to whether or not she provoked it.

Honey Badger is an exciting player to watch if you enjoy old-school hockey or simply to see his Coach turn beet red, jump around like he got stung by a hornet and menacingly scream, "KELLLLAAANNNNN" each and every shift.

b

Brayden Messing

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Brayden started off Febuary with a big bang! He scored his first hat trick of the season in an outstanding effort to win the game for his Ducks team. Brayden works extremely hard at practice, during his games and also he can always be found working on his skating during the week with Protec instructors. Brayden has been a pleasure to work with over the last two seasons and our team would not be the same without him.

Keep up the great work, Brayden!!

caroline

Caroline Kazanov

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Caroline has been a major player for her team this season. Providing skill, strength and hard work to every shift. She has brought her game to new levels every time she plays and she ended her Ducks season with key goals in the final championship tournament

joshua

Joshua Zhuravskiy

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Josh played his 3rd season with the Protec Ducks this year and he has continued to improve and provide strong play to his team.

Josh closed out the season with key assists and a game tying goal in the state championship game with 48 seconds left.

He is a great teammate who provides fun and excitement to the bench.

leon

Leon Oleynik

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Leon is the Assistant Captain for his team and every game he has provided that leadership and skill to help his team complete an undefeated championship season. Throughout the year he worked hard to learn how to improve his game and how he can do more with his passing instead of just his scoring and he did just that. Over the year his talent improved and when he buried the game winning OT goal to win the NJYHL state championship it was a perfect ending to his great season.

i

Insiyah Tajkhanji

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

The power-house known as "Ice Cream" is a girl you don't want to mess with. She digs deep in the corners, battles hard in front of the net and buries rebound goals when her team needs her. Her winning season was a testament to her hard work and her willingness to be a great teammate. Insiyah is a fantastic young women with a bright future.

March Stars 2022

frankie

Frankie Cicerale

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Frankie is a joy to all of his teammates. He is always working hard and cheering up his teammates when they might be down or hurt. He has scored key goals during big games and tournament challenges. He never quits or gives up and over the year he has built his skating skills and over-all ice positioning to be a more effective player. "Thank you Frankie for being the heart for our team and we will always be rooting for you!" Coach Don

ritvik

Ritvik Wadhwa

Mite A Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Ritvik plays every position with determination to never fail. He goes hard every time and will play any position the coach needs him to play.

Starting the season as a shut down defensemen and then moving to be a key scoring forward at the end of his season just shows how much he worked at his game all season.

Ritvik had huge goals in a championship tournament weekend to end the season for the Protec Ducks advanced team.

anshita

Anshita Tatavarty

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

After taking a year off due to the covid pandemic, Anshita came roaring back to be a big part of a championship team. Her defensive skills and hard work got stronger as the season went on and if it was not for her willingness to protect the blue line then the Ducks could not have completed the perfect season they did.

judah2

Judah Pinelli

PWA Ducks

Coach: Don Migliorisi

Judah started off his first year as a PWA in a big way. His skills and willingness to learn on the back end was a huge benefit to his championship team. Protecting the blue line and firing shots from the point helped his team continue to keep the pressure on and find ways to continue winning. It was a great start at the PW level for Judah and it should give him continued success next year as he continues to play hard at the PW level.
