Name: Jayson Lisk

Team: U18 A
Position: Defense

Jay helped pace the 18U to a 3-0 record in it's first weekend recording 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points.Besides his scoring prowess, Jay anchored a gritty defense that recorded two shutouts and only yielded two goals over for the weekend.

 

Week 4 Winner
Name: Val Kurylko
Team: Peewee A (Ball)
Position: Forward
Home Town: Warren, NJ

Val Kurylko was the leader this past weekend as the Ducks Peewee A (Ball) team was victorious in both games. Coach Ball said, "Val had himself a weekend. I knew he was going to become a scoring leader this season and he did so when we needed it most." Val netted a hat trick in a pivotal league game against the NJ Freeze in a 4-2 victory and followed that effort up with a goal and two assists in a 6-2 win over EJEPL foe Long Island Gulls.

Week 2 Winner
Name: Deryk Jones
Team: Peewee A (Alvin)
Position: Center
Home Town: New Brunswick, NJ

Deryk Jones was instrumental in both Peewee A Alvin victories this weekend by leading the offensive charge. On Saturday the team played the Montclair Blues in a pivotal early league game and Deryk led the charge with two goals and two assists in a 7-4 victory. On Sunday evening in Voorhees, NJ, the team played an older Flyers Youth team in one of their toughest contests of the season. Again, Deryk led the team to a 5-3 victory. Coach Alvin remarked about Deryk's great weekend, "It's a pleasure to see how Deryk has developed over the past two years. He takes the game seriously with tremendous focus and has been a leader on the team this season."

 

Week 3 Winner
Name: Michael Tompkins
Team: Peewee B
Position: Forward/Defense
Home Town: Staten Island, NY

Michael Tompkins is off to an excellent start this season on and off the ice. After working hard in practice, he takes part in the optional off ice training. These efforts have paid off as he led the team with a hat trick last weekend and has about 10 points on the season already. Coach Don remarked, "Michael is a hard working player that the team relies on in important game situations. He's been a pleasure to coach."
