Somerset, NJ:  According to My Hockey, the Protec Ducks have broken through the top 10 ranking in Tier 2 hockey nationally at number 9.  This is the highest ranking a Protec team has achieved since the 05 age groups 6 ranking.  “Things are coming together nicely and the players are excited.” Coach Alvin remarked.

The Protec Ducks Bantam National team has been on fire lately, defeating many nationally ranked teams from across the United States.  Las Vegas, Chicago, Washington, and Virginia to name a few teams.  Here in New Jersey, the Ducks sit atop the NJYHL South division with a 7-0 record with 54 goals for and 9 against.  During this stretch, forward Tyler Jones has scored some critical goals.  In net, James Friedman was able to win an overtime shootout thriller in Chicago by allowing one goal on four shooters.

On Saturday, the Ducks take on division foe Flyers Youth in what looks to be another physical game that will be determined by special teams.  Sunday’s trip to Pro-Skate to play the Stars should be physical as well.  “We can’t take any of these games for granted and need to do a good job balancing high school hockey and our Ducks hockey.” Coach Alvin expressed.
